A Very Sad Day at the Holly House

Mark's Grandmother(Grandmother Daisy Holly, Craig's Mother) passed away this morning. She has been in and out of the hospital for over the past month. She had been told that because of her failing kidneys she would need to be on dialysis three days a week. They put in a permanent port for the long term dialysis. She had taken several treatments through the temporary port that they had also put in. After having to stop the last dialysis treatment because her hand had become numb and turned a purple color, she decided that she would not take any more dialysis treatments. She talked to the doctors and nurses at the hospital and then talked to all of her boys about her decision. She was fully aware of the consequences of not taking treatments. She has told us all that she is very prepared for the next step. She is confident of her faith in Jesus Christ as her Saviour and knows that soon she may be with Him and all her loved ones that have gone before. Her testimony is very strong and she has no fear of the future. Everyone decided to move Grandmother to Midland to live with Craig and Dee. Dee has stayed home to care for her. We will all miss Grandmother very much. This is a website that Craig created in her memory. www.caringbridge.org/visit/daisyholly
