In Loving Memory - Margie Anna Ray Sullivan

Kelly's Great Grandmother, Mamaw went to meet Our Heavenly Father Saturday August 23, 2008. She was 99 years old. She is no longer tired and I am sure having a good cup of coffee with all her brothers, sisters, husband, and best of all Jesus!

Just a little glimpse of Our Mamaw's Life:

Margie Anna Sutphen was born to George & Mary Anna Sutphen on February 12, 1909 in Iatan, Mitchell County, Texas. The family of eleven children moved to Andrews County when she was six years old and then moved to Baird, Callahan County, Texas when she was twelve years old.
She graduated from Baird High School in 1927 and married Raleigh B. Ray. They made their first home in Baird where they raised two children, Bill and Bernice. Margie was the owner/operator of Margie's Beauty Shop from 1938 until 1967 when she married Johnny Sullivan and moved to Kilgore, Texas. She returned to Baird shortly after his death in 1974.
Margie blessed many with her beautiful hand-painted china. She loved to play bridge and canasta. She was a past member of the Eastern Star, and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Baird. She loved to entertain friends and relatives in her home.
In her life Margie made many lasting relationships and touched many lives. She brought much love and guidance to all her family and friends. She taught the value of the gift of life and brightened many lives with her love and neverending sense of humor. We will miss her greatly.

I am so sorry you lost such a beautiful person in your life. Sounds like she was a Christian and no doubt in Heaven. I have lost all my grandparents except one. But I rejoice int he fact that they are with Him and like you said, no longer tired and suffering.
